Sweet Dudley originally was adopted from us as a puppy. Now, at 7.5 years old, he's back with us due to no fault of his own. He was running around in a nearby county in rough condition. We got some weight back on him and his fur is starting to grow back as well. He's currently just under 80lbs. Despite this period of uncertainty, he's a goofy guy who seems to enjoy the company of humans and other dogs. He loves treats and hanging outside, running the fences with his neighbors. He knows sit and paw, and his favorite thing is butt rubs. Dudley does have hip dysplasia and luxating patellas, likely due to the period of his life with a lack of proper care. He is on anti-inflammatory pain meds to help with the associated discomfort. We would love to get this stocky ol' pittie mix into a home to enjoy the rest of his senior years!Adoption processPlease be sure to review the shelters Adoption Process prior to considering our facility for your adoption journey.Shelter locationWCHS is conducting the viewing of our animals by appointment only. The Kennel Adoption Application and Cat Room Questionnaire can be found on our website under the ADOPT tab, then click Adoption Process. Please be sure to review our processes closely before filling out either form.Once the forms are submitted, management will receive and review them within 24-48 hours. Please understand that our facility is receiving a high volume of request and are doing our best to accommodate as many as possible. Management may not contact you for 3-5 days. You will either be contacted via phone, or email with the findings of our inquiry and/or to schedule your one-on-one viewing appointment with staff.Please understand that our facility takes the health and safety of its staff and surrounding community very seriously. With that being said, entry to our building is only granted to those who have been pre-approved and have been given a viewing appointment. Walk-in viewing IS NOT an option.
