Duke is an adorable five year old Velcro Golden... He is undeniably handsome, calm, sweet, very loving, loves belly rubs and wants to be right by your side! This boy is looking for a special home, as sadly he has tested positive for heartworms. Duke needs a very calm and patient home… no young kids and no young dogs, while he goes through the heartworm treatment. This will be about an 8-10 week treatment, where you can sit and be a couch potato together with this darling boy! GRRAND will be right there with you to provide the support and funds needed to get him through this. The volunteers at the GRRAND Central Station kennel say "He hasn't messed in his run, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's house trained as he spent most of his time outside in the past. We have started walking him on leash and he does pull a little, but is getting better by the day. He seems to like other dogs and has had no issues with the pups at GCS. Whoever opens their heart and home to this special boy, will be the luckiest people ever"!
