Ernie, Gabe and Walter Border Collie Young Male

This handsome trio (Ernie, Gabe and Walter) are one-year old+ Border Collie/Labrador Retriever mixes who were brought to the HSOV at closing time on November 14, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found them on State Route 339 in the Waterford Ohio area. None of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. There is a strong family resemblance, so we're 99.99% sure that they are brothers. Our kennel techs have named these three musketeers 'Ernie, Gabe and Walter'. They all have black-and-white coats but are each very distinctively marked. Ernie (pictured on the left) has beautiful blue ticking on his chest/legs, a long tail, and a thin white stripe on his face, blue ticking on his muzzle, and short floppy ears. Ernie weighs 56 lbs and is the largest of his siblings. Gabe (pictured in the center) has a snow white chest, a few black freckles on his legs, a long tail, and a wider white stripe on his face, white on his muzzle, and short floppy ears. Gabe weighs 46 lbs. Walter (pictured on the right) has a unique white pattern on his chest/belly, a long tail, and his face is entirely black. He actually looks more Labrador Retriever breed than his brothers. Walter weighs 52 lbs. None of these big boy appear to have had any leash training in their young lives, so our HSOV Kennel Techs are working with them to help them master these new skills .. And in the meantime, they have been providing carry-in and carry-out service. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Ernie, Gabe and Walter were held for three days so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Since they were not reclaimed, these boys will be neutered in the near future and will be ready to find new homes of their very own.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ernie, Gabe and Walter, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
