Meet Fern!This sweet little thing was saved from a hoarding situation along the border of Mexico! Poor thing was totally neglected....and most likely used for breeding, to make money off of her cute little babies, with no regard for her wellbeing.Fern is a sweet sweet sweet little thing, only 2.5 years old and 8lbs. She lets us put her little outfits on her, and loves being carried around. Her eyes are very expressive, and she is learning to wag that little hairless tail!She would probably do best in a home with no small children, because of her size. but older kids would be great. She wants nothing but love. Nothing but LOVE! We are just so happy she is here with us, and now can find the very best home! Fern is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Clearwater, Florida on December 23, 2023. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $400. The fee includes the transport cost.*Please note: You MUST be available to pick up Wendy at our adoption event on Saturday morning 12/23. *Fern tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs.
