Fred is a super sweet 1 year old male Lab/Hound mix weighing 55 lbs. He is friendly with other dogs (cats unknown but can be tested). Fred is heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment provided by our shelter at no cost to the adopter. He also has a dislocated hip and will have FHO surgery which is also provided by our shelter (after his heartworm treatment). For both treatments, Fred will need to remain calm (no running/playing). We would LOVE to find Fred a permanent or foster home to stay in while he is healing. If you can provide a permanent or temporary home for Fred, please let us know...he's a great boy!Adoption processAll potential adopters must complete an Adoption Application. HSLC staff will review all applications and reserve the right to deny any application. All adopters must provide a valid photo ID and must be at least 18 years old.
