German Shepherd Dog Mix Dog for Adoption in Palmer, Alaska, 99654 USNickname: APOLLO Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Apollo is an active, friendly and wiggly young dog. He loves to play fetch and spend time running around outside - if given the opportunity he will run off and could benefit from a fenced in yard. Apollo will need a positive outlet for his energy and could make a great adventure buddy! He has been to dog parks and loves to play with other dogs! Apollo arrived to the shelter with another dog and they were great friends. Apollo is a very good boy. He is potty trained and will whine at the door when he needs to be let out. He is also crate trained and was typically crated when alone to keep him honest! When he was free in the home he was not destructive towards household items. He also knows the cues `sit`, `down`, `treat`, `shake` and `come`. Apollo has been in some dog training classes and would benefit from continuing training. Apollo is said to be shy sometimes, but we have yet to see him be shy towards someone new! Apollo loves people and attention. He has been easy for staff and volunteers to handle and is always so happy! It is unknown if Apollo has ever been around children so slow introductions are advised. With the proper introduction we expect him to do great! Apollo needs a capable owner who is able to continue training. Someone who is willing to dedicate time to this sweet boy. Apollo is incredibly smart and easy going so we are hopeful that we will find someone perfect for him! P.S Its almost his birthday! 03-06-24 he will be two!
