This sweet and stunning boy has made great strides since being rescued known as “Kennel 34” in a less than ideal location in Weslaco, TX. Upon arrival at his current home, Oakley was terrified and could barely walk inside. With that said, he has overcome so many challenges put forth in front of him and met so many goals. Oakley thrives on a routine and is searching for a family that can continue to help him succeed! Oakley is now fully-house and crate trained! He will tell you when he needs to go out! He sleeps in his crate in the evenings. He is trained to come inside and go to his crate. He loves the comforts of the home, too, and enjoys curling up on the couch to take a nap. Oakley shines once he gets to know his people! You will find he is a true gem filled with lots of love and affection to give. He now resides with a family, but he is not a great fit with kids. Unfamiliar men and leashes give him pause. He is full of life and likes to chase a ball in the backyard and wrestle with his dog buddy. (He was previously starved so he needs to be fed separately from other dogs.) He is a smart and protective big guy! Warm sunshine is what he loves best. On cold wintery days, he loves to curl up in a small ball and stay warm and cozy inside. He is calm-natured. He lives for breakfast and dinner time and loves veggies as snacks! Oakley’s ideal home would include:-Patient parents with a calm natured male. Or only women.-No kids -Female dogs are fine. No male dogs unless prior training experience.-No cats-Large backyard with a fenced in yard is a must Oakley’s new home will need to continue to build on his budding confidence.
