Grumpy is an AKC Silver Gray MOH / Mark of the hound Weimaraner male puppy. He is Limited Registration (no breeding rights) Grumpy was stepped on by his mom at 3 days old after we had some unexpected company show up. I heard him cry and I went immediately to scoop him up and console him. I could not see any outside physical damage at the time, so I assumed he was okay. Well fast forward 4 weeks and I could then tell he was not 100% okay. Grumpy has a bunny hop gait in his back legs. After having x-rays done at 6 weeks and again at 8 weeks old, he has some damage to 2 of his spinal vertebrae. He is a tough boy! Nothing slows him down or deters him, but when it comes to placing him in a forever home, I have some things that I am now having to contemplate and think over. He is UTD on all shots and deworming's, he is doing wonderfully with potty training, and he is a HUGE cuddle bug!!!Anyone that is interested in Grumpy will need to fill out a questionnaire on my website laatweims.simdif.com ...and there will be a few stipulations and requirements that will not be negotiable!!!1. No kids! His back would never handle a child jumping on him or riding him like a pony as some kids do.2. No other dogs unless they are a small breed. I don't want him to be alone without a friend, but he cannot handle another dog hurting him worse than he is. 3. No massive number of steps. If your porch has a couple steps that's manageable but I would prefer none to very little or few steps.4. Someone who will be with him all the time. He has never been alone, and I don't want him to ever be that way.5. He will not be allowed to go to an "active" home. Yes, he needs exercise, but he will wear his joints out worse because of his gait.6. I am discounting him extremely low, but not free. I have poured time and money into him already... so please don't message me saying, " is he free?"If you have any questions or want to chat about him, feel free to message / DM me about him.
