Hank is so small and cute, shelter volunteer thought he was a puppy! See video! Hank is perfect, he's very sweet, loves people and dog friendly. He about 2 yrs old, has a dark brindle/black color short coat, with pretty hazel eyes. He was very thin, anemic (due to worms), and run down when he first arrived, but he's completely vetted and now recovered from his anemia. He's gained weight, up to 40 lbs now, he's active and playful, loves everyone and loves attention. He's good with other dogs, and would enjoy a play buddy his own size. He likes to play with his food bowl but could substitute other play toys as well. He's good on a leash and likes to go fast, he'd do really well in a fenced in yard where he can run and exercise. He's a little too intense with cats, so not recommended. He is good with other dogs, and would like a playmate.Adoption processWe conduct personal interviews and require adoption applications. Home visits are conducted, and references are checked. Adoption fees are $150 for dogs, and $75 for cats. All fees are used to defray the costs of vetting and caring for our animals.Shelter locationWe do conduct local adoption outings. We also show our dogs by appointment.
