Meet Heidi HoundI have a major beef with nursery rhymes. Y'all need to stop fibbing to your children. Take this fur example: Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, The cow jumped over the mooooon.Stop right there. I am from a rural ranch and seent my fair share of cows, those heifers would never be athlecticky enuff to jump a moon. Ain't gonna happen. I often get a few people saying I look like a moo cow with my spots but my belly isn't quite that rotund. Besides you might be able to milk a cow and appawrently almonds too, but not dogs. I'm actually a purebred English Pointer purchased as a pup about 3 years ago. I only weigh a furaction of a bovine at just 58 pounds.The second part of that nursery rhyme says the dish ran away with the spoon and in my remix the dish furgot to take their little dog. I was rescued by a Real Estate agent after my owner moved and put their property for sale leaving me alone, skinny and a meal for mosquitos, fleas, ticks and probably werewolves since we are coming into Halloween season. Whew, that was close. I am happy goofy and loving now that I'm 100 pawcent better. Furst Foster Mom got some weight on me, then spay, then heartworm treatment. Now I'm safe and my every basic need is met, I can do all the fun things in life like go for rides, play with dogs, take long beauty sleeps, eat, love on puppies (not mine of course, I'm spayed and just the fun Auntie). I've even had time to take on a new sport. I was choosing between yoga, miniature golf and moon hurdles, but instead decided to follow my heart and choose cat chasing. It's a classic. When there are no cats available, as an alternative hobby, I do a bit of squirrel borking. Heidi Heidi Heidi ho, and I'm not talking the garden tool. Look squirrels, we get it, you can fly, no need to keep showing off! Now I know I'm just a dog and not a cow or a squirrel so I can't fly to the moon, but I do pawmise to love you to the moon and back if you pawmise to never move and leave me behind. I'm crate, leash and house trained. I am a courtesy post for another rescue called Scurvy Dog Rescue. God's Dogs Rescue helps the smaller group out by posting me and transporting me to you, but you are actually adopting me from Scurvy Dog Rescue. I am fully vetted and microchipped. GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website.
