Adoption processTo adopt a pet, you must be 18 years of age and fill out an adoption questionnaire. Our adoption fees are: Dogs- $175, which includes the spay or neuter surgery, the first set of vaccines and heartworm prevention, a microchip, a Tehama County license and a heartworm test for dogs over 6 months of age. Cats- $110, which includes the spay or neuter surgery, the first set of vaccines, a dose of flea prevention, and a microchip. Animals that are not already altered will remain at the Animal Care Center until surgery, and adopters can pick up their new pet from the veterinary clinic after surgery.Shelter locationRequest an appointment to meet one of our adoptable pets here: https://www.co.tehama.ca.us/government/departments/animal-services/adopt/adoption-appointment-request/ The Tehama County Animal Care Center is located at:1830 Walnut Street, Red Bluff, CA 96080 Our Adoption hours are:1:00 pm-4:30 pm Monday-Saturday.
