Please fill out an application to set up a private meeting. Hello, my name is Patricia! I am a stunning young adult Lab with the most beautiful chocolate coat you’ve ever seen! I am partially blind so it takes me a day or two to familiarize myself with my surroundings which means I may knock into things but once I get the lay of the land, I navigate very well! In fact, I can even go up/down the stairs…I may take it slow of course, but I’m a determined gal who can do it by myself…even if I do trip on a step or two when I’m excited! Oh yeah, and make no mistake, my vision impairment has no negative impact on my zest for life! I’m a spunky, energetic, playful, curious & treat-motivated girl who loves to chew on toys, eat meals & treats, explore the yard, and tear apart/toss around cardboard boxes, but I also enjoy a good couch-potato session! I’m still working on leash training; I like to pull foster mom around the neighborhood on the leash (ha, ha); and although I may whine a little, I am crate trained. Additionally, I am good with older and respectful kids, but to communicate with my people, I can be a bit mouthy when touched near my face or head so smaller kids are not a good fit. That said, I am good with other dogs with slow introduction and I’m always respectful of the meowy things…after all, who wants to get whacked in the face…especially when ya can’t see it comin’ am I right!?! LOL!! Anyway, I am a delightful angel who navigates life with my nose, but I love unconditionally with my ENTIRE heart! All I need now is YOU…a patient, fur-ever family that will not only love me unconditionally in return but will NEVER give up on me. We don’t need eyesight to love one another so if you are looking for an amazing companion and you’ll accept me with my imperfections I assure you that I will figuratively see beyond all YOUR imperfections too! Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses . Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in th eir forever home in order for them to feel safe.
