Hey there to all my potential adopters! My name is Shady Shadow, and I'm around 8 months old. I was given away by my previous owners for being too big, but what do you expect from a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix?! I'm 41lbs now, and fully grown and well fed, I should be 60-70lbs. I don't think I'm too big to be a lap dog though, and I give the most loving, comforting hugs! I'm a big ol' baby who wants to love and be loved, and I do that best with my snuggles. I have done perfectly with every dog I've met, I show appropriate signs of submission when necessary and I love to wrestle and play when allowed. I haven't met any cats, so I'm not sure if I like them or not, but based on my submissive nature, I bet I'd come to be just fine around them. I love kids and I'll try to climb into their lap, so I would need to be supervised around smaller kids to make sure I'm not loving a little too much. I haven't shown any signs of reactivity, but being the Pyrenees protector that I am means I will bark at other dogs I see while on walks. Speaking of walks, I do great on my leash and love walks! My mom describes me as medium energy, since I'm playful but can lounge and nap for hours as well. I'm still working on house training, and despite an accident once or twice a week, I'm almost there! I'm not a fan of my crate and I used to do my best to break out of it, but I've become much better recently and can go several hours in the crate without issues while my foster mom works or runs errands. I would be good in a household with or without another dog, as long as I'm given attention and love by my humans as often as possible. My foster mom is completely in love with me and says I have the best personality and I'm one of her very favorite fosters EVER!
