Our sweet girl, Lizzie, is a six-month-old, 30-pound mix hit by a car and picked up by a shelter. The impact broke her front leg, and unfortunately, she was in the shelter so long that the bone began to fuse in a bad position, so it had to be amputated. Luckily, we found a wonderful foster, which was the only reason we could rescue her, and she is recuperating and comfortable and walking around already. Before surgery, the foster said that she was wonderfully calm, perfect in the house, and great with all her dogs, even the cranky ones. If you want to foster or adopt Lizzie, she'll be ready to go in a few weeks.
