Lucy is a purebred black and white Border Collie pup, 8 weeks old. After her morning exploration, Lucy is happy to come sit quietly by your side with her head on your foot while you work on the computer. She is responsive to attention and watches closely to see if she is needed. Her front feet are often crossed when resting. She likes other dogs and loves to be held and snuggled. She will need an affectionate owner who enjoys the outdoors or/and someone who will take her along to get their job done. She comes when called or whistled for and is interested in being trained to do a job well. She likes to be called good dog. Lucy would do well with one of her litter mates. They've had their nails clipped, started potty and kennel training. Ride in cars and trucks comfortably. Raised around children and livestock on a ranch in central Montana. Her markings are pretty with a tulip silhouette on her head, beauty freckle on the left side of her muzzle, 2 white front legs, 2 white back legs from the hock down, and a swirl on her neck. As an adult Lucy should be around 35-40 lbs, with medium to long hair and feathering possible. Parents are both working cattle dogs. They are obedient (great hold handle), thoughtful, efficient, and effective. They are also the best family dogs if you have room to roam--they love and protect children. We would not be able to manage our operation without them. First vaccinations and wormed 2x. Lucy comes with a collar, toy and bandana that smells like home, and a little bag of her dog food. Lucy is ready to go May 2, 2024, and can be picked up with cash in hand once the interview is passed and the contract signed. I may have shipping options.
