This sweet, senior girl came to us through no fault of her own. Her owner needed to go into assisted living, and she had nowhere else to go. MacKenzie came in a bit portly, so we affectionately call her “Big Mak”. She LOVES to walk, and is already getting her waist back. Mak is so spunky, it’s hard to believe that she is 14 years old! She loves other dogs, and has loved every person she has met here at the shelter. Mak rolls over for belly rubs and gets playful and goofy. She would do well living with other dogs, and would love to find a playmate. Big Mak does has cushing’s, but it is being managed currently with only one pill a day! She is a treasure, and deserves to live out the rest of her golden years in a loving home. To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.Shelter location**We are currently closed to the public, but visits can be made by appointment - please check our website home page for details!** You can meet all of our wonderful animals at our center by appointment or with an approved adoption application.
