Maurice is a courtesty post for his family. His orginal owner passed away and his family has taken him in and we are helping them find him a home. You must complete an application on our website and we will forward it to Maurice's people who will contact you. HIs $350 rehoming fee will go to them. All vet paperwork will need to be collected from them. Maurice had been with his owner for 9 years. He was a faithful companion to my father in law. He stood by his side day and night while my father in laws Parkinson’s got worse. Mo formed an amazing bond with my father in law, that kept him pushing and filled him with joy. Mo was very sad and confused when he passed. We want Maurice to be happy so we are looking for the perfect home and owner. He is welcome to stay with us, however, we believe he might be happier with someone that gives him the one on one attention he deserves. He loves treats, and we use that as an insensitive for him to potty outside like he knows he should. Maurice is neutered, good with other dogs and some cats. Ideally we are looking for a senior that is active or someone that can be with him most of the time. We would like to gradually shift homes so that he knows he was not deserted. Maurice is now 10. The average life expectancy of the breed is 14-15 years. He will need to be groomed frequently, and he is on a special veterinarian prescribed food for his kidneys.
