IN Tellico Plains - Meet Miss Millie! Millie is a beautiful 2 yr old, spayed blue merle with copper points, weighs 40 lbs. She was owner surrendered to the local shelter for financial reasons and has lived a fairly sheltered life with her elderly parents until we began fostering her about 3 weeks ago. Millie is super affectionate and loves to stand on the floor and put her upper body in your lap! Millie is housebroken (came potty trained) and crate trained (we taught her that.) She comes when called if it suits her, but she will evade capture if she isn't ready to come inside or go into her crate at night. She walks very well on a leash - I was amazed to see her stay at heel on a loose leash without any commands. Millie gets along with other dogs, but doesn't seem to know how to play with them. She runs with them, but gets excited and barks (and may snap) when they begin to engage. She has shown no interest in toys, but loves chicken jerky snacks! Millie is completely obsessed with my pet rabbit. She is interested in cats, but has not bothered mine. Millie is cautious around new people and dogs, and may growl initially, but she will relax and accept visitors if she is not pushed. Millie is completely healthy, fully vetted, and ready for adoption! She is being fostered in East TN.
