Hi there! Mr. Carson here, but let’s just be casual and call me Carson. I’m a super sweet senior boy. I greet everyone with a wagging tail and love to just hang out and relax. I have particularly enjoyed the rug in the family room when everyone is around and the warmth from the fireplace is nice, too. I follow my foster mom around and am thrilled that she works from home. I would love that in my forever home as well. Though, I may also be OK to hang out with a friendly resident dog that knows the routine. Whenever my foster family leaves, I get a little anxious and bark, but I settle down after a while, especially if they leave talk radio on for me. I love going for walks and am great on the leash. The only times I get excited and tug a little bit is if I see squirrels or other dogs. I would love to chase the squirrels, but just want to greet the other dogs. I recently got to experience the best playground ever: My foster mom took me to the dog park and I just had a blast. I got to run off leash and play with all of the other dogs around. Who would guess that I’m 10 already? To that end, I’d love to have a fenced in yard and a brother or sister to play with. I’m also happy to be the only one getting your attention, just count on me sticking close to you then. If there is no yard, please find a place for me to run and play with other dogs. I really enjoy that. I take treats super gently and have been good with the kids in the house. The two parakeets around here really interested me initially, but now I just ignore their constant chatter. What about cats? I haven’t had a chance to meet any. With a slow introduction, I would probably be OK with them. My eyesight is diminishing a little bit, so I might think that cats are dogs too! Neuse River was super great and got rid of a pesky tumor on my knee that turned out to be cancer. But, guess what? It’s all gone!! The dogtor said that my future family should just keep an eye out on my knee but that it shouldn’t come back. Great news! What do you think?
