NILLA IS A VERY SWEET AND ACTIVE GOLDEN/LAB X FEMALE PUP THAT IS LOOKING FOR HER HAPPY EVER AFTER. NILLA IS 10 MONTHS OLD, SPAYED, AND CURRENTLY VACCINATED. NILLA DIDNT HAVE THE BEST START IN LIFE BUT SHE IS READY FOR A RE-DO! NILLA CAME FROM A FAMILY THAT HAD NO TIME FOR HER AND UNFORTUNATELY SHE SPENT WAY MORE TIME THAN ANY DOG SHOULD IN A CRATE. LUCKILY THEY FINALLY REALIZED SHE DESERVED BETTER. SINCE HAVING NILLA AT THE HUMANE SOCIETY WE HAVE SEEN A MORE ACTIVE THAN SHE SHOULD BE PUP. WE BELIEVE THIS CAME FROM BEING COOPED UP TOO LONG AND SHE DOES GET BETTER THE LONGER WE ARE WITH HER. NILLA NEEDS A PATIENT OWNER THAT DOES NOT WORK LONG HOURS AND CONTINUE THE TRAINING WE'VE STARTED. SHE ALSO NEEDS TO BE A HOUSE DOG AROUND PEOPLE WITH REGULAR EXERCISE. NILLA IS HAPPY, SWEET, LOVING, AND FUN. SHE ALSO LOVES TO PLAY FETCH AND IS GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS THAT CAN HANDLE A YOUNG ACTIVE PUP. We interview new applicants to ensure they are matched with the right pet for their family. We do NOT allow our animals to become "outside" pets. We spay/neuter EVERY cat, kitten, puppy. dog prior to adoption. We have approx $300 in every animal we adopt out. Adoption fees on dogs is $70 , cats $30, kittens $50. We believe in early spay, neuter.Every animal has to be met and interacted with prospective new owners. In many cases, we let the pet decide.Shelter locationAny of our pets may be seen by appointment only. Please call and schedule. We try to work around the potential adoptees schedule. We have wonderful volunteers 3 shifts a day who care for our animals, but we discourage "drop ins" as it upsets the flow and the animals. When we have a run of kittens or dogs, we drive 250 miles to Grand Forks ND where we hold adoption events at a Pet store. We also drive 300 miles to Duluth , MN to hold adoption events.
