Meet Orchid, a bundle of affection and playfulness, known fondly as Orkie, Girlfriend, and Sweet Girl– an endearing testament to her charming personality. She's a social butterfly, and LOVES meeting new people. A natural comedian, Orchid’s playful antics bring joy and laughter to any room. Whether sliding down a hill, chasing water from a hose, or engaging in solitary play, she ensures a chuckle-worthy time. This independent and sassy soul gets along with other dogs, but would also be happy riding solo. Orchid does best with her male foster siblings, who are laid back and willing to let her take charge. She has a history of resource guarding toys and food, but has practiced learning how to solo play with rubber toys alongside her foster siblings, and has made great progress. And, speaking of her sass, Orchid isn’t afraid to tell it like it is and stand up for her beliefs! She thrives with a person who is able to channel her opinions constructively and not let her attitude get the best of her. Orchid has food and environmental allergies that require her to be on a strict diet. She’ll try to convince you to share a treat, but it’s only doctor-approved snacks for this girl! Orchid is on daily medication, weekly baths, and twice monthly injections to help keep her skin healthy and itch-free. She also has a heart condition that she takes medication for, and needs a cardiology recheck yearly. Despite her quirks and high-maintenance traits, Orchid's adorable antics and vibrant spirit make her an incredibly rewarding companion. She enjoys the occasional cuddle with her chosen human and will bond strongly with someone able to show her patience and provide structure. Orchid is 5 years old, weighs 47 pounds, and appears to be a Boston Terrier/Bulldog mix. This adorable, sassy, and funny girl instantly brightens up any room and she can’t wait to find her forever home! Orchid’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.
