Pastrami is a handsome 3-1/2 year old male Beagle who was brought to the HSOV after closing time on November 16, 2023 by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who had picked him up on Buells Run Road in the Macksburg Ohio area. Pastrami was accompanied by another male Beagle (Sandwich). Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Pastrami has a tricolor short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable brown face with dark brown eyes, a tan mask, a black button nose on his slender muzzle, and extra-large brown velvet ears. True to his Beagle/Hound breed, Pastrami has a super-friendly personality and loves attention. Pastrami weighs 23 lbs. He has sparse hair on his back at the moment (most likely due to a flea allergy). These updated photos were taken on November 24, 2023 when HSOV Kennel Tech Jocelyn Rose Jackson accompanied him for outdoor photos. This sweet boy has a calm, easygoing personality and was a pushover for attention from Jocelyn. We've learned that Pastrami loves to snuggle up for naps in soft plush donut beds when our kennel techs have treated him to afternoon naps in their break room (smile). We're sure he has enjoyed lots of 'good boy' treats as well. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Pastrami & Sandwich were held for three days so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership.
