Meet Peety! This handsome boy was surrendered to us when his previous pawrent was moved and could no longer keep him. Peety is a gentle soul with a heart full of love. His sweet and curious nature is bound to win you over! He is a mellow companion, shy at first, but warms up quickly to show his friendly side. Peety is a well-behaved boy who loves pets. He is house and crate trained, making him an ideal fit for many homes. It is reported that he lived with an older, smaller dog in his previous home with no issues, but can be indifferent about dogs he does not know. We believe he may be able to live with another pup given a slow, well planned and thought-out introduction plan! Peety has shown some resource guarding in his previous home and prefers to eat separately from other animals, appreciating his own space during mealtimes. Feeding Peety in his crate or a separate room will aid in preventing any resource guarding and ensuring he is comfortable while he eats. Adopting Peety means gaining a loyal friend who will fill your life with joy and companionship. His gentle demeanor and loving spirit are sure to brighten your days. Peety is one of our "Special Care" pets, which means that he requires a bit more love and attention. He has dental disease, history of skin allergies, some thickening of his stifles ("knees") and some scarring in his ears. All of this will require on-going care and monitoring at a private veterinarian as these are chronic issues.
