Pepper is an incredibly sweet male beagle who made his way to HSOTC after being surrendered from a breeding release. He would do best with adults or kids 12 years and older. Pepper is working hard on his house training and crate trained. He does well with the other dogs and cat that he has been exposed to here at the shelter. Pepper would do best with another submissive calm dog or by himself. Due to being a breeder release we do recommend these types of dogs be adopted to a home that has a fence, temporary or permanent, or leashed walked. That is because at times they can struggle with their confidence as they haven't had a chance to be a "normal" dog. Another dog in the home can sometimes be helpful and help provide our dogs with a sense of security and help boost their confidence. We want to set all of our animals up for success in their new homes. They may have had a harder start to life but we know they can make someone a great family pet.
