Meet Rexie - Take My Lead DogRexie is a young and energetic pup. He is about ten months old and is always ready for an adventure. He would love to be a hiking buddy, to be a running buddy, and would likely excel at agility. Rexie has received a Take My Lead grant to work on some of his over excitement that he is experiencing in the shelter setting which is not ideal for a young energetic dog. We are confident that once out of a shelter, and with some FREE training through his Take My Lead grant from Handsome Dan's Rescue, he will learn to be the best pup he can be. To apply to adopt Rexie: handsomedansrescue.orgAdoption processWe have a standard application that requires information about past and present pets, the home and yard, veterinary references and at least two non-relative references. All references are checked and a meet and greet is scheduled, typically in the foster home, prior to approval. A thorough home visit is then conducted (with photographs) and then we will allow the potential adopters to have any resident dogs and children meet the foster.
