AVAILABLE NOW- I am in Lake County, Illinois awaiting my forever family. My name is Russ and I am a 1 year old Staffie mix. I am a super sweet and social little boy. I love doggie daycare and my foster family is awesome. I weigh about 40 lbs, so on the smaller side. I am a big baby, I mean puppy! I love to play hard and then nap hard. I love all dogs and get along great with my 2 foster sisters. I also love all people of all sizes! I am very friendly, so sweet and love to cuddle. I know basic training and I have been walking well on a leash with my foster mom and dad. I am housebroken and I am a good listener. My foster parents say I am smart and a fast learner! I will come with the works (Neutered, spayed, up to date on everything, micro chipped, fecal, heart worm tested if age appropriate, heartworm, flea and tick prevented, a free vet visit and medical insurance). RusselAdoption processWe require an adoption application, vet reference and in some cases a home visit prior to meeting our available babies. JBRR Requires our adopters to be at least 25 years old. Because our adoptable animals come from various sources, we try our best to ensure that your new pet is healthy. Each animal is examined by a vet prior to adoption, however, there are some things that are out of our control. Most incubation periods for diseases can be between 2-10 days after exposure..eg. kennel cough. We will not transport or adopt out any animals showing signs of illness, but do keep in mind that they can become ill after wards. This is true of all animals, rather adopted from us, another rescue, shelter or pet store. Pre-Adoptions/Reservations require that you put a deposit on your baby as we cannot hold any dog or puppy without a deposit. This is optional as long as you understand that by choosing not to do this the dog or puppy that you are requesting may or may not be available to you come time to finalize your adoption. This option ensures that you will be guaranteed the animal that you have chosen to adopt, it also ensures us that you are serious about adopting and will be there to provide your chosen baby with a forever home. THESE DEPOSITS/ADOPTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE so please make sure that you are 100% sure that this is your lifelong choice. The fees that we get from adopting out our fur babies immediately go back into saving/vetting other animals. ADOPTING A FRIENDIf you are interested in adopting one of our fur babies please contact us at XXXX@yahoo.com for an adoption application. The adoption process is one all parties must take seriously. We work very hard to place the right animal in the right home and because of this, the process may take up to 48 hours from the time you submit your application. We do check references. Once your references are checked we move very quickly and you'll be notified right away. Most of our communication is done via email so please make sure you check your email account frequently and respond quickly. The adoption cost of your new pet may vary and it assists us in the rescue of another. This cost vastly outweighs, for the services received, retail veterinary costs for you. JBRR typically provides the following health care to our rescued babies: spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, fecal, heart worm tested if age appropriate, flea and tick prevented, dentals/extractions if needed, a free vet visit and low cost medical insurance. DISCLAIMER: Approval of your adoption application is not a guarantee of availability of that particular animal. We receive multiple applications on each animal, so that we can make sure and match up the right dog with the right family. Unless you reserve/pre adopt the animal in which you are approved to adopt, we will not hold it if another adopter is approved and interested. Your approval notification means that you have been approved to adopt through our agency. Our adoptions fees are non-refundable. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell. 3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar. 4. The sofa is not a 'face towel'. 5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff. 6. I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet. 7. Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is an unacceptable way of saying 'hello'. 8. I don't need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm under the coffee table. 9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house - not after. 10. I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt. 11. I will not sit in the middle of the living room and lick my crotch. 12. The cat is not a 'squeaky toy' so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it's usually not a good thing. P.S. Dear God: When I get to Heaven may I have my testicles back?
