Shadow is a senior (born 10.11.09) spayed female Akita. Shadow is leash trained, crate trained, house trained, microchipped, on flea/heartworm prevention, and is up to date on vaccines.Shadow comes to us from a shelter in northern VA, where she first came in as a stray. The shelter was able to find her owner, but they did not want her back. She bounced in and out of this same shelter over the course of 3 years. The last time we saw her there, we decided to put an end to all her bouncing around. She was reported to be 14 years old, but our vet (based on bloodwork, teeth, and her eyes) believes her to be no older than 10. She was reputed to have been very dog aggressive, but she has done wonderfully at our doggy daycare.
