Rolf came to TJO as a stray and is ready to share his song with the world. OTHER PETS: Rolf came in with another dog and stayed relaxed and calm when introduced to other dogs. He would likely get along with other dogs but, as with all our dogs, a pre-adoption meeting is mandatory. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Rolf would do best with structure and routine and activities that would stimulate his muscles and his mind. An owner with experience with working dogs (or huskies specifically) would be an ideal fit. [Some Experience] KIDS: Rolf is friendly and outgoing but has a tendency to get jumpy when excited - he could inadverdently knock over a smaller human in such a situation. [13+ (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Huskies are intelligent dogs bred to high high levels of energy - if Rolf is not stimulated physically and mentally he will make his own entertainment and it won't always be an activity humans approve of. Long walks, jogging, hiking, lure coursing, and weight pulling (among others) are all activities that Rolf might enjoy.[Olympic Athlete] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive behavior training will help Rolf bond with his new owner as well as ensuring a mastery of basic commands while building his self confidence.
