Say hello to Sky! Sky came into our care when her previous owner could no longer care for her. She is an adorable 4-year-old lady. Sky can be a little timid when first meeting new people but if you give her space and verbal praise, she will warm up quickly. Sky has been around both kids and other animals, including other dogs and cats. She is friendly with them but prefers a mellow friend to relax with. We are still getting to know more about sky so check back soon for more information or better yet come to the Anti-Cruelty Society today.Adoption processAdoption Requirements:Must be 18 years of age or older for standard adoptions. Must have valid ID Adoption fees are based on an animal's age and species. Each adoption Includes: 1. Complete veterinary exam 2. Inoculations against rabies and other diseases 3. Heartworm test for dogs /Feline leukemia test for cats 4. Spaying or neutering (it's mandatory) 5. Collar 6. Lifetime ID tag (on The Anti-Cruelty Society's registry)7. Permanent identification microchip 8. Dog leash or cat carrier 9. One month of free pet insurance for this important transitional period.Shelter locationOur adoption center at 510 N. LaSalle Avenue is open daily for walk-in adoptions from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m..
