Ethan is one lucky boy - he was just saved off the euthanasia list at a Southern CA shelter and is now ready for a new loving home. He is being fostered and is ready for a forever or long term foster home. Ethan had come into the shelter with his female friend, Emily. She was adopted, but Ethan was not along with her. No one wanted Ethan and he found himself on the euth list due to overcrowding. He is a sweet boy, more submissive in nature. He would likely do well with another female companion as he was dependent on his friend Emily, and sadly he will never see her again. ETHAN I am a male, black and white Labrador Retriever.The shelter thinks I am about 1 year and 5 months old.I weigh approximately 50.20 lbs. SHELTER STAFF NOTES during his stay:11/13/23 Good boy. dependent on his female kennel mate he came in with. 11/21/23 Sweet dogs, kenneling well together, easy to handle. 01/09/24 Took out to the yard to temp test with a pet, opposite sex but same size. Both did well, no issues or aggression seen. Can you give Ethan his happily ever after?Adoption processUpon initial inquiry on one of our pets, we begin the process by having all potential adopters complete an adoption application. If approved, we then set up a face to face meeting with the pet you are interested in. A home and yard check is required prior to adoption. Once adoption is finalized, an adoption fee is collected, an adoption contract is agreed to and signed by both parties, and the animal is turned over to it's new adoptive owner/family. Follow ups take place during the first month to insure the pet and the household is adjusting to the pet, and any issues, questions or concerns are addressed.Shelter locationContact us for details.
