Hi, I am Theo, I am a shy guy who is learning what it is like to be a good dog. I get along with most dogs, but I definitely have a preference for females. I have never lived with kids, and I usually want to chase the neighbor’s cats so I don’t think that would be a good fit for me. I am not much for toys, but I do love a good car ride, especially when the windows are open. We have been to the beach and that is great. I don’t swim, but I love to run along the water and splash. I will need some work with some basic training, my mom says I am a bit stubborn, but I think I just haven’t had the right incentive yet.I spend most of my time outside in the yard, I feel most comfortable there. I get kind of anxious when I go indoors, but I am working on that. When I do spend time in the house I always ask to go out to the bathroom.I like to walk on a leash, and I am pretty good at it. I might pull at first because I am excited but then I calm down and walk beside you.I still have lots of things to learn and help to build my confidence. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.Adoption processOur adoption process is on our website at: https://hope4lapawz.org/adoption-process/ Once approved, we establish transport for your dog and work out delivery which is usually to an airport near your city (unless you are here in La Paz). Adoption fees are $400 USD and transport fees are typically a flat $300 to any city that Alaska Airlines flies direct from San Diego. Adoptions for dogs to be living in Mexico are $1500 + Transport Fees. Dogs traveling outside of Mexico are certified and have all appropriate documentation, shots, tests, and exams. In addition to the rescuing and medical rehabilitation of these dogs, we have regular training classes for the dogs to encourage socialization as well as leash and crate training while they are in their foster homes awaiting adoption. Our adoption team supplies information, and tools, recommended training books. They also perform periodic adoption follow ups and assistance for adoptive families. We want each of our dogs to be set up for success in their new home. Our goal is to provide adopters with a complete package of rescue, care, and adoption support to promote a successful, happy life for you and your new dog.
