Meet Trix, a spirited young senior Chihuahua with plenty of pep in his step! Trix may have a heart murmur, but he doesn't let that slow him down. This feisty little guy is full of energy and ready for adventure! While Trix may not be gentle in his playfulness, he's incredibly sweet and affectionate with those he trusts. He gets along with kids, dogs, and cats, showing his lively spirit and resilience in every interaction. Trix can be protective of his food, preferring to enjoy his meals without interruption from other dogs. His heart condition does require medication costing $90 a month, but that doesn't dampen his enthusiasm for life. If you're looking for a furry friend with personality and spunk, Trix is the perfect match for you. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.If you have any questions or would like to adopt Trix, please reach out to the adoption group directly.
